My name is Alan and I am the 4th generation radio enthusiast. My father ran a
Radio & TV repair shop for 35 years. I worked for him 10 years and that is where I learned about sweep tubes and other
tube circuits.
I have a wonderful wife and a young son. Hopefully to pass the radio operation to yet
a 5th generation with him.
I have been working on amplifiers now for over 8 years. I soon realized that the 6V
filament tubes were getting very expensive. That is why I came up with the idea to convert the filaments over to cheaper and
easier to find tubes.
